I come and I go

Tell me all the ways you need me

  1. Caught up with so many old friends in the UK... St Andrews, Edinburgh, York, Sheffield, the Cotswolds (no, not Harry & Meghan… gonna have to save that rant for its own blog post). And then, of course, London. Hardest part about living overseas is all the years and boozy lunches I’ve missed with really incredible people.

  2. Being in the UK for over a month was such a gift… time to actually be there, settle in, feel part of it all again. I didn’t know how much I needed it on a soul level.

  3. Flying on a Saturday might be the biggest travel hack… no package-holiday hordes is an utter game changer. Am I a bitch for failing to be suitably impressed by very small man next to me on the flight dribbling on and on about his very “big” life? Let’s just say he was punchin’.

  4. So… where did we leave off? Challenger has grown up and is studying film in NY. Much less challenging, a few spicy wrinkles ironed out, and utterly great company. It’s quite something watching your children build the lives they want.

  5. And so we had a boozy brunch drinking bellinis and discussing Digger. Less about its merits, more about how it was made… love hearing him talk about filmmaking… shall now call him Spielberg… no pressure, darling.

  6. Stoner is spending a gap year in Portland and has apparently been experimenting with other mood-altering activities at festivals. She’s 23, so do I hypocritically condemn? She’s working at Anthropologie so selfishly loving “my” discount. Her new identity is still a WIP.

  7. Best ever is putting on headphones and going for a gander through NY. Walking through the Village, wandered past a film set, did my best strutting through a nest of elongated models and spotted one of the yummy Queer Eye cast… Suspect they all mistook me for an 80s supermodel, obvs.

  8. Except all the self-centred tourists posing for their bloody selfies. What is it with the sticks, the pouts, the endless retakes? Influencer culture sucks balls… and the endless queues outside the latest cupcake/bagel/bubble tea place are absurd. Even blinking Sephora!

  9. Move ya’ twats... don’t you know who I am?

  10. Unfortunately, a new Vesuvius is brewing on my chin. Possibly time for a dry choccy-button October…deeply unwelcome development.. And no, shall not succumb to wearing a stupid pimple patch..esp. in public! FFS!
